Tchotchkes

As you may or may not know, I love taking photos of all sorts of things, and today I was inspired by my tchotchkes (pronounced CHAWCH-kees) - a term I’m happily borrowing from Lorelai Gilmore. You might call them knickknacks, but I like to think of them as little treasures that reflect my personality. Found objects, sweet gifties, souvenirs, momentos, keepsakes, and pieces that simply make me happy - it's what makes my house my home.

I don’t consider myself a super technical photographer. I understand the fundamentals, and I mostly know my way around my camera's basic settings, but honestly, half the time I’m culling through my photos in awe that they actually turned out halfway decent.

And I mean that more as a marvel than as a critique of myself. I just think there’s something bigger at play when people get into their creative space. For me, photography has always felt like that - a mix of inspiration, curiosity, and a little bit of magic.

Along with Tchotchke photography, I do love photographing people, capturing moments and personalities with the same care I give to my little treasures. So, if you’ve been thinking it's time for some new headshots, or family photos, or new biz photos for your website or socials, I’d love to create something with you.

Feel free to reach out HERE, and let’s create something fun together!!!

Thanks for reading along, and here's to this creative day!
